Benn Partnership Centre Community Grant

Clockwise Credit Union are proud to be support more Rugby community organisations.

In February 2026 we awarded the Benn Partnership Centre a grant of £250.  The Benn Partnership Centre is a thriving community centre in the heart of Rugby, supporting local residents and promoting inclusion.

The Centre offers practical help with benefits, ICT, and form-filling, alongside a welcoming Warm Hub and Community Café. They support refugee families and provide free community activities, including art, fitness classes, and a Work Club to improve employment opportunities.

The funding from Clockwise will enable them to buy food and drinks for their warm hub activities. We will be dropping into the centre in the coming months to meet with more of their service users and discuss Clockwise services.

Vivien from the Centre said:

“All funding is very gladly received by the Benn Partnership Centre. The grant helps us to help the local community, by helping those in poverty and at risk of social isolation. The grant will help us to continue to feed our community in our very well attended Meet and Eat Community Cafe and provide art materials for our art group providing social opportunities helping with health and wellbeing. It is also beneficial to our volunteers who support the groups, giving them a sense of purpose, self esteem and belonging.”

When you save or borrow with Clockwise your money is invested back into the community. Clockwise operates a Community Grant Scheme that awards local groups and individuals grants for a whole range of items that ultimately benefit the community the group and individual works to serve.

Under the scheme, any community group or individual in need of funds can apply in writing to us for a grant. To apply, the group or individual should be based in Leicester, Leicestershire, Rutland, Northamptonshire, Coventry or Warwickshire. This can be for a whole range of items; for example, a small piece of equipment for a group such as food banks, community schemes aimed at under-represented groups, scouts/guides or a youth club or a laptop for a low income student. See below for examples of groups we have supported.
